  • Our Focus

Our team aims to enhance the assessment and treatment of sexual health concerns, with a focus on women and couples.

The Psychology, Health, and Sexuality (Phase) Laboratory is a research laboratory in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UBC. Under the direction of Dr. Katrina Bouchard (Assistant Professor & Registered Psychologist), our team aims to enhance the assessment and treatment of sexual health concerns, with a focus on women and couples. Our clinical research on vulvar health concerns and sexual wellbeing is conducted in collaboration with the BC Centre for Vulvar Health (BCCVH) at the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre, Vancouver General Hospital (https://bcvulvarhealth.ca/).

We gratefully acknowledge that the UBC Faculty of Medicine and the Phase Lab are located on traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh).
